| Furong River connects ancient and
modern lakes: Yanlu Lake and Furong Lake. "There is a lake on
the top, about ten square Li and the water is rich. In autumn,
the wide geese often rest here....". This lake gives Mt. Yandang
a unique name and give tourist an additional scenic site--the
lake. It became a dream of people too. What the dream catchers
found are just could ocean and gorgeous sun-rising and setting.
In fact the water is still there, the West Waterfall is still
splendid, Meiyu Waterfall is still full of pizzazz and trees
are still green before the cave of West Rock Beam. In all scenic
zones of Mt. Yandang, you will not feel you are too weak before
the nature but you will feel the harmony between people and
the nature. When you feel this harmony, you will feelthat Yanhu
Lake is still full of water and the water of Furong Lake downriver
rises. |

Lake Scenic Zone] == West Rock Beam Waterfall |
| West Rock Beam Waterfall is
a waterfall hiding in cliffs and the fall is approximately
160 meters that only inferior to Dalong Qiu and it is the
second waterfall of Mt. Yandang.
West Rock Beam Waterfall locates in the west side of a east-west
trend valley. There is a river in the valley but it flows
from north to west and when it meets the top of a rhyolite
unit, it forms the waterfall. Many ancient people wrote poems
or essays to describe it as a very big and expressive waterfall
of Mt. Yandang, like Wang Shipeng of Song Dynasty in his West
Waterfall as: "Lingyuan connects Yanchi, the waterfall comes
down from the Heaven. Its beautiful view makes me miss all
of its days of the whole year and I hope I could come here
again one day.", Xu Xiake, the famous traveler of Ming Dynasty
describe it in his book as: "Its not so high as Long Qiu but
its water is richer so it is cannot simply called as the second
one of Yanshan." In modern times, Zhang Shumei compared it
with Dalong Qiu and thought that "they all own their own features".
There are two Chinese characters of "Deep Spring" written
by Sun Ke, the Prime Minister of Administration and Legislation
in National Government not far from the waterfall. There is
a carved poem and the name of the waterfall on the rock in
front of it. All the five Chinese characters of the name of
the waterfall are more than one square meter. |

| Meiyu Waterfall is also a waterfall
flows dawn a cliff. The cliff is approximately 100 meters
and round a gully and the two banks forms a gate.
Liang Zhi of Qing Dynasty wrote a poem after visiting Meiyu
Rock to describe the view of waterfall as: "The waterfall
from the rock is of hundreds of Chi, the drops of water hit
the cold stone in front of it. Few people come here and you
may see the trace of deer on the wet green ground". The views
he describes in the former sentence still exists now but that
of the later sentence fades since the development of the roads
outside west valley and more and more tourists come.

| Black Dragon Cave is a flat cave.
There are many huge rocks and cliffs standing on its both sides.
Water flows across the rocks and the sound of it is pleasing.
There is a small pool at the bottom of the cave with a huge
rock standing beside it and covering two thirds of the pool.
The water in the poll is clear and fresh. |
