Dalong
Qiu Scenic Zone |
| Between Ma'an Mountain and East
Mountain, the valley was called as West Inner Valley in ancient
time. There's a river named Jinxi River whose source is Dalong
Qiu and it passes Jinzhu Jian then inflows into Qingjiang River
and into the sea in the end. It is said that Xie Lingyun explored
Jinchu Jian but failed to climb the mountain then missed the
chance to explore Dalong Qiu. If it's not that case, the first
one who explored Mt. Yandang would not have been a foreign monk
named Nuojuna. It is such a delight to sit before Dalong Qiu
waterfall in rainy days. Even you live in the place where Huangguoshu
waterfall locates, it's a pity not to visit Dalong Qiu waterfall.
The other waterfalls are just waterfalls, but Dalong Qiu is
also a dragon. No waterfall could match it since it has a fall
of nearly 200 meters and nobody could tell all its beauty in
different days of the year. So Nuojuna who was dead watching
Dalong Qiu never wrote anything about it, which made many people
puzzled and in the end, a poet in Qing Dynasty named Jiang Ti
conclude that: It is difficult to describe Dalong Qiu waterfall.
